The book I've been dying to read which was supposed to be out this Fall, actually isn't going to be released until mid-June!  *wah*  On top of that, it's got a pretty ghastly cover.  Don't know if I really want that ugly thing on my shelf.  The book has been available the entire time in the UK so, yeah, they've finally broken me and I'm going to take the exchange rate and shipping rate in the shorts.  It's not going to match the other books in the series that I already have, but I think it's mildly more attractive

Two quick whines then I'm outta here. My internet connection from home has been languishing in the 28.8 Kbps rate this week. Yes, you're reading that correctly - 28.8 (though sometimes as low as 26!). How? Why? WHYYYYYYYY? I didn't do anything to my computer. Will I actually be able to crawl out of this suckage or is SBC just taunting me again? I'll find out tomorrow.

I had to go shopping for a gift certificate for a co-worker yesterday (don't even get me started on how I ended up with that task). I put 50 miles on my car trying to find %$#@%^& Michael's craft store. I didn't exactly start out the day liking crafts, but this ratchets up my feelings from general apathy to intense dislike. Guess I shouldn't be surprised the wretched locations are mostly in the suburbs. But what was really driving me crazy was sharing the road with everybody and their SUVs, trucks, suburbans, etc. Your over-sized, gas-guzzling pieces of shit make me claustrophobic!! Grrrrrr, I knew there was a reason I hate this time of year. I couldn't even enjoy the beautiful sunny day because the sun was trying to blind me.

Excuse me while I go take my frustrations out on my treadmill...

ETA: Anger makes my spelling suck. But lookie! I learned how to spell claustrophobic - for today anyway ;)
