Heat, please?
Nov. 1st, 2006 10:33 amToday is the supposed day that my landlord et al are going to make my heater a working reality. Besides the fact that I'm completely skeptical this is going to happen, they told me they were going to start at 8:00 am. Why must this happen on my late day? Grr. Now I'll be grumpy all day.
So I dragged myself out of bed at an abnormally early time (again, grrrr) and took my car to get its oil changed. While waiting I was perusing the election ballot. *sigh* With each election I find myself getting more and more frustrated with the state government. Why don't they have the balls to legislate and govern this state? Why must we the people (or, more likely, special interest groups) have to go through the initiative process to get something as basic as funding for a public good such as working levies? I'll be voting next week, as always, but I won't be happy about it.
