Just living up to my name tonight
Feb. 8th, 2006 08:21 pmI'm waiting for the chocolate rush to kick in so I can finish work without collapsing in complete exhaustion. Until then I'll try to keep myself awake here doing this (pardon gross spelling and grammatical mistakes, I'm too tired to care).
I'm done with my teaching for the week. Did I mention I've been getting a rush off those lately? I'm kinda scared about that really. Heh, could I get addicted to teaching? Heh. NEVER! Anyway, they've been going fine this semester. But if you're a student with a migraine, could you please not sit in the front row and glare/look miserable the whole time? [Isn't that what the back of the room is for?] It generally casts a sort of pall on the whole affair when you do that...
Jessica sent me the first two seasons of Remington Steele on DVD. I'm not sure how I'm going to squeeze it in between all the Deep Space Nine episodes (two a day is pretty exhausting!). I'm in the middle of season four, so that makes at least a season and a half of DS9 episodes I've never seen. So much fun! Sorry, I'm easily distracted tonight. Anyway, I started watching RS as soon as I got it and it is so craptacularly cheesy! Somebody was using a rotary car phone. Rotary. Car. Phone!! Who knew they even had those? The 80's tv shows were such a well-lit group; I can tell that's going to get on my nerves pretty fast. But I'm totally digging the old-time cars, clothes, etc. And Stephanie Zimbalist had the nicest hair. Mmmmm, brown hair with highlights done just right. Gotta love it!
I was watching 16 Candles this weekend and I was getting yet more of those nostalgia pangs. You know you're getting old when you watch movies like that and think, 'things sure were different when I was young.' Do students even pass paper notes in class anymore?
The library reeks of greasy restaurant food tonight. It's almost as if it's in the air circulation system or something. It's kinda making me nauseous.
Oh, and it appears I can make my computer CPU hum by touching it. Don't believe me? I have witnesses! Rock on! I have the power, bow down before me. BWAHAHAHAHA.
Um, I think that's my sign to stop writing.
