Missouri, how I've missed you!

I got the funkiest piece of mail Saturday. Seems like the Missouri Department of Revenue wants to remind me that my Missouri drivers license expires in October and it'll only cost me $20 to renew it.  Why thank you Missouri!!  I had no idea that you had no idea that California invalidated my Missouri license with a big, fat hole punch oh, THREE years ago.  Don't states communicate these sorts of things?  Plus, I got the postcard at a California address!  Hello!  Why would somebody with an out of state address need to update their license [don't answer that, I'm sure there are reasons].  I was wondering how they knew my California address until I remembered the last time I paid taxes in MO I had to tell them where to send the refund check.  Guess it pays to have the drivers license people and the revenue people in the same department.
