*whew*

Thank you all for your thoughts and concern, my dad is doing much better now. When I talked to him last night, he sounded very chipper and back to his normal self. Basically, they sent him home yesterday because all the tests didn't reveal the source of his blockage. I thought they'd poked and prodded all possible orifices, but apparently he'll have to return in a couple weeks for more tests. 

Sure is hard to be reminded my parents are getting older... and older... and older.

Obligation satisfied

Yay! As of Monday, I've finished paying off another student loan. I say again - YAY! Sure, it's another really small one, and I have like a zillion dollars left on the last two. But I have to take whatever I can get at this point. I just loved how it said "obligation satisfied" under account status. In lovely red type.

In other news, it took me a whopping 15 minutes to pack for Philadelphia. I'm hoping the weather forecast is accurate because I'm not bringing any cold weather/snow type gear. Their forecast looks depressingly similar to ours - rain, rain, rain. Blech! I'd rather sub-freezing temps and sunshine. Anyway, I have no plans to visit any goth clubs with other crazy librarians so my stomach lining should be happy with that. I'm going to go brace myself for sharing a tiny city with thousands of socially inept librarians.
