I was the 118th voter at my precinct
Nov. 4th, 2008 02:18 pmAfter all my exhaustive research last night - I even went to various California newspaper web sites to see editorial recommendations for how to vote on the propositions - I went to bed tired but apparently not tired enough to sleep. *sigh* I arrived at my voting place at 8:00 am to a rather long line. My toes were cold and some guy was yapping incessantly on his cell phone, but fortunately I had my book on traffic to keep me relatively occupied for the hour wait. And fortunately for my cold toes, I got a free coffee after the wait in line. Yay!
Now that I'm at work, I'm having a hell of a time actually wanting to concentrate on work. I keep checking the web for news. And I know it's way too early for news, but I can't stop myself. I think this is why I usually vote after work; instead of looking for results I'm usually too busy scrambling to find time to make up my mind on all the issues.
Next time around? I'm so, totally voting early.
