I was going to goof off for most of my shift tonight and write some lovely entries for you all to read. But, in keeping with the rest of my shitty week, I'm bogged down with real work! *sob*
Grim highlights of my week?
Monday: Forgetting to make handouts for my four (count them FOUR) lectures on Monday. Had to be here by 8:00 so I could get that done. After the four classes, my voice was decimated. My vocal chords lack stamina and I don't know to improve that.
Tuesday: Trying to find cheap but still interesting speaker for a librarian workshop that people would be willing to shell $$ out to attend. I don't know anybody in the world, so I'm finding this to be particularly MISERABLE.
Wednesday: I scheduled myself a doozy of a day starting with a lecture at 8:00. I left in the middle of the day and now I'm sitting here working on a horrible reference question with a co-worker smacking gum LOUDLY until 9:00 pm.
Tomorrow? Oh, I'll just have to continue to try to find somebody willing and cheap enough to speak for the workshop. How I wish I had a major illness...
