let's eat!
Feb. 7th, 2008 09:13 pmAs I was walking to my ever so lovely public library this evening several things struck me. First, there was a shiny new sign posted at McKinley Park declaring smoking is no longer allowed at any of Sacramento's city parks. Crazy! I mean, I love it, but I had no idea we were banning smoking in the great outdoors. Heh, soon there won't be anywhere a person can smoke. Yeah, that's a tear you see in my eye over that thought.
Second, as I was walking under some redwood trees I couldn't help but notice that the pollen is already out and about. Um, yay spring seems to be appearing? But *groan* does that mean the horrible allergy season is nigh upon us? *ugh* I'm gonna focus on the sun still being up even after work hours and revel in that for a bit. For tomorrow I start sneezing...
Oh, and in case you were wondering (and I know you weren't), I picked up Why Some Like it Hot: Food, Genes and Cultural Diversity to read. Yay! I'm squeezing that in between the book on Twinkie ingredients and Stephen Colbert's book. When it rains, it pours, reading-wise. That's the only kind of "rain" I want these days.
